Schonstedt was the first to provide an RF link between transmitter and receiver—a major step forward in productivity. In 2003 we introduced the Schonstedt XT, the magnetic locator that single-handedly changed the way surveyors work.
The new and revolutionary XT512 combines the portability of the holsterable XTpc package with the low frequency sonde and passive locating capability found in larger more cumbersome locators. With the XT512 you can locate and determine the depth of your sewer/pipe inspection camera or a small sonde such as the TM50910 from Schonstedt. The XT512 is useful in locating blockages and obstructions in non metallic pipe.

I can't say enough great things about the Schonstedt. I have only felt the urge to send a comment to one other company, when my old 1979 GMC crossed 500,000 hard, hard miles- 2/3 of those carrying that Schonstedt.(That was 12 years ago. GMC needed another motor, Schonstedt needed new batteries! Both still on the road.)
