Radiodetection’s C.A.T4 and Genny4 offer a comprehensive range of Pipe and Cable Locators and Avoidance Tools designed to provide operators with locators that are both simple to operate and offer a range of options and features to improve survey speed and accuracy.
- Simultaneous dual frequency helps locating high impedance lines such as tracer wires, small diameter cables and irrigation systems.
- Dynamic Overvoltage Protection enable the locator to operate in electrically noisy areas.
- Avoidance mode speeds the survey by searching for Power, Radio and Genny signals simultaneously.
Features of the C.A.T4 Range
As a safety critical tool, the C.A.T4 range also offers a number of features designed to support safe working and help to drive utility strike rates down.
- Locate Performance Management lets you track field usage of your fleet of gC.A.T4+ online to identify wrong usage of the kit.
- Built in Data logging and GPS/GNSS locator enables usage and location analysis and reporting.
- Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity to Android and iOS devices.
- StrikeAlert warns of the presence of shallow cables.
- SWING Warning warns the user of incorrect tracing techniques.
NOTE: Use of a Genny4 is required to identify non energized lines or power lines that are not active.
Locate Performance Management
C.A.T4 and Genny4 can significantly reduce the risk of damages when verifying the absence of unmarked or mismarked utilities is integrated into excavation operations.
Large Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) companies, utility providers, and municipalities aiming to minimize damage risks can rely on Radiodetection’s Locate Performance Management System, powered by C.A.T Manager Online.

This software suite is designed to provide near real-online or local analysis of usage behaviors of gC.A.T4+ and Genny4. Explore surveyed locations using Google Maps and generate survey and usage reports.
The basic version is free to use. A per-user paid version unlocks features like automatic reporting, team and contract management, and automated warnings.
Being cloud-based, C.A.T Manager Online requires no software installation on PCs. Near real-time monitoring of your gC.A.T4+ and Genny4 fleets is possible using the Android or iOS app, connecting directly to the cloud-based C.A.T Manager Online platform, automatically and without interfering to your operations.
