Schonstedt’s Mac-51Bx is an industry classic, a dual-purpose utility locator that has sold well for more than 20 years. But 20 years is quite a long time in any tech industry and underground location is no exception – even the Mac’s fans agree it’s getting a little long in the tooth. So in 1999 Schonstedt Instrument Company began to work with focus groups and a reinvigorated research division to create brand new utility locators with the simplicity, sophistication and sturdiness of their survey monument locators.
